Would Jesus Vote for the Scottish Christian Party?
In fact I always get slightly worried by politicians, and those involved in politics, when they claim that their party has the full endorsement of any divine being.
I think we all accept that no political party is right 100% of the time and is on very shaky ground if they start claiming to be the sole (or should that be soul?!) party of God, but I did have to chuckle at this piece on The Daily Mash stating that Jesus would be campaigning against the Scottish Christian Party.
Yes, the piece is borderline blasphemous I suppose, but at the same time you get the point they are making.
(Although I have to say that if Jesus did really say "this sort of stuff really pisses me off", it would surely mean him more likely vote Lib Dem than anything else!)
However, whilst we are talking about the Scottish Christian Party, someone has brought to my attention that the leader of the Party, the Reverend George Hargreaves, wrote the gay anthem So Macho for Sinitta in the 80s and still makes a pretty penny from it to this day.
Hmm, I'd be ashamed too.

Well Kerron,
You are right to raise this issue, as I think there is no mandate in the bible for a christian political party. We should encourage christians to stay in the mainstream parties and engage with politics at the sharp end.
