Which Jane Austen Character Am I?

Which Jane Austen Character Are You?

You are Anne Elliott from Persuasion. You might also be Harriet Smith from Emma, or Fanny Price from Mansfield Park or possibly even Jane Fairfax from Emma. People underestimate you all the time. You are somewhat introverted, so it is assumed that other people can persuade you to do anything, or even think that they can roll right over you, even when they mean to be doing you a good deed. The good news is, you have it within yourself to stand up and take charge-- you know what's right, and you know what you want, after all! It's just a matter of speaking up!
Take this quiz!

I am a big fan of Jane Austen - believe it or not, she is one of my favourite authors - so I thought it would be fun to take this online test to see which character from her novels I am.

I am slightly perturned that I come out as Anne Elliot - it's not exactly the most masculine choice - but then again not that surprising given her character traits.

I am just grateful that I am not Fanny Price from Mansfield Park. ;-)

Interestingly, Anne Elliot is one of my favourite characters - I even wrote a song about her while I was at University. How sad is that? Whilst everyone else was getting smashed off their faces on cheap booze at the Student Union bar I was off reading novels, poetry and writing my own. It explains a lot.

With the advent of You Tube, who knows I may be able to give you a rendition one of these days.

"I fell in love with Anne Elliot, Anne Elliot, Anne Elliot. I fell in love with Anne Elliot, now what do you think about that!".

You see the beauty of my posts are that you never really know deep down if I'm joking or not, do you? ;-)

"You're a conniver! If you're a girl, you are Lucy Steele from Sense & Sensibility, and if you're a guy, you're Frank Churchill from Emma. You fool most of the people, most of the time, and even when you can't do that, you always, always land on your feet, largely through your winning charm. "

I don't fool people!!!

And why don't I get a male alternative?

Are men not supposed to be seen as "loyal, patient and kind"?

Btw, I've never read Emma (but I think I've seen parts of the movie with Gwyneth Paltrow), so what type of character is that Frank Churchill?

Like Winston, but less V signs.

I promise I didn't cheat!.....

You are Eliza Bennett from Pride and Prejudice!...you are intelligent, lively, lovely-- in short, you are the best of company. Your only foibles are that you stick with your first impressions... and your family is quite intolerable

You and James, Chimpette. You and James. :-)

Are you an Austen fan? I can picture that. ;-)

I am the biggest Austen fan! Eeek...I'm such a nerd, especially as I am secretly pleased to be Elizabeth Bennett!

I am...

Lydia from Pride and Prejudice! You are a young, lively creature, without much thought for much of anything beyond the next moment of pleasure... at your most extreme, you are Louisa Musgrove in Persuasion, jumping foolishly from a great height. At your best, you are the belle of the ball, the life of the party-- any party-- every party! You are the most fun, and you know it.

Thanks for that Anonymous - do you not want to admit to your moments of pleasure? ;-)

So am I the one who got the worst character (Lucy Steele who wasn't very nice)? :-(
