Bloggers4Labour Anniversary Blogmeet

The good thing about leaving blogging this event for a couple days is that everyone else who was there has already done the hard work posting the pics and detailing exactly what went on. (That's the thing with bloggers they are always eager to outdo each other.) I have no idea who got the images on-line first, but my money would be on Paul. He needs to get out more. :-)

The reason I've not posted my version of events yet is mainly because I've not had a chance to download the images, as I've been too busy out looking after the sick, poor, elderly and vulnerable over the weekend.

St. Peter would be proud of me following in his footsteps. :-)

However, I'll stick one on of David Tennant (sorry, the Andrew the Wongaman) in due course, as I feel he's missed out on the whole photo front so far. Also want to mention how he admirably stuck to the lemonades all night. There is no truth that this is due to the fact of him being only 12. Neither does it affect his time travelling abilities. But it may have been true that he didn't want Neil corrupting him with the Dark Star.

Bitter mixed with expresso. Evil. It will never catch on. And it's Neil's drink of choice. Mind you he did spend the whole night tormenting Paul over his Christian values. (Amusing that I was sat next to Neil all night and he left me alone. Clearly Paul is easier to wind up!) Neil, a dark horse, a master of the dark arts...and slave to the Dark Star. :-)

Also had a fairly good chat to Skuds too. A man who despite being a West Ham fan turned up in a Juventus scarf. Mind you, if I was a West Ham fan then I'd want to keep it a secret too!

As I say I think everyone has had a bash at blogging this event, but I think Skuds', Neil's and Paul's posts are probably the pick of them

My own thoughts are that it's worrying that it seems to be a distinct advantage to be a Labour blogger if you come from Brighton and/or your name is Andrew, as that seemed to describe the vast amount of people at the blogmeet. I don't know, common names for common people. :-)

Also delighted that Brighton reference allows me to mention Watford's victory on Saturday againts the Seagulls courtesy of Eagles lob from the halfway line. :-) Boing boing. :-)

Shame there were no women at the blogmeet. Perhaps women have lives, I don't know. But predictably it did mean that the conversation soon turned to things such as football, music and Doctor Who.

No mention of Star Trek though, incredibly.

Sorry, I didn't really get to talk to Andrew Brown, Paulie, Tom and Damian - you seemed a bit ostracised on that other table. Apologies again. Especially Damian, big fan of your blog and you seem a really nice guy too! But then I like everyone. :-)

Ooh, and one last mention to Andrew (Bloggers4Labour), thanks for reminding me about the website with the mini motorbikes. Classic spam. What has happened to our classic spam?

Maybe we could discuss this at the next meet up.

Zzzzz.

Actually I did briefly chat to Skuds about Star Trek :-)

You're not the last, Kerron, I'm still struggling to post something myself. Will try not to plagiarise too much...

I was watching our stars in the Winter Olympics, if that's what you mean :-)

LOL!
I was the first with a major posting, but Andrew a.k.a. wongablog was the first to record and issue a photo of the event.
Funny how some of us bloggers try and outdo each other with scoops, it's like journos competing against each other and I suppose blogging is a form of journalism. That said, I am just greatful that there seems to be no Damien Day amongst us.
BTW With regards to Neil's baiting I do recall thinking how quick you were to come to my aid! Not. Plus I don't think Neil was aware of your faith so he left you alone.
Honestly!

Kerron, Skuds did mention I was sat between 2 Christians, but only after we had left the pub. If only I'd known...

Common???

I'll have you know I was named after a saint.

(Well I was named after a hospital, but the hospital was named after a saint. So glad Mum couldn't make it to St Barts!)

And I'm sure Star Trek was only mentioned briefly in passing and... oh yes. I remember it now. I started it....

I don't think I would have had any problems joining a conversation dominated by those topics...

Lisa, you are an honorary man, God bless you.

Buffy got a mention btw, and so did you! :-)

Hi Kerron, sorry I didn't get to meet you either as I wanted to thank you for the office cricket rules. They've been very helpful for my cricket obsessed son during these winter months.

Good beard though!

Office cricket! Now there's a recess time filler if ever I heard one. Thanks for the reminder.

Actually, we got a new cricket bat (cardboard tube) in the post today, can't wait to give it a try out. :-)
